- Is this a certification?
- No. WEX DPDP is a readiness assessment against Wex & Counsel’s internal framework. It is not issued or approved by any government body and does not certify compliance.
- Do I need to know the law to complete it?
- No. Questions are in plain language with help text explaining why each is asked. Where a matter needs professional judgment, the report says so rather than guessing.
- How many questions will I answer?
- The assessment adapts to your answers. Most organisations see between 60 and 90 questions out of a larger master set; sections that do not apply are skipped.
- Will I get a score?
- No. You receive factual counts by status — implemented, partially implemented, action required, future readiness, specialist review — with priorities. We do not produce percentages or grades because they would overstate certainty.
- Some obligations have not commenced yet. How is that handled?
- Controls tied to requirements understood to commence on notified future dates are recorded as future readiness actions, not current breaches. Dates are not quoted until verified against official notifications.
- Does the assessment use AI?
- Deterministic Wex rules decide every finding, status and priority. Controlled automated drafting (WEX Intelligence) may be used to phrase explanations from those fixed results, with minimised input and validated output. It never decides legal applicability or invents citations. See our Responsible AI page.
- Should I upload customer records?
- No. The assessment asks for descriptions, categories and confirmations — never records about individuals. Please do not enter personal data about people.
- How is my information protected?
- Accounts are isolated at the database level, reports are held in private storage and released only through short-lived authorised links, and notification emails never contain assessment content. We do not claim certifications we have not obtained.
- What does it cost?
- The price is shown before payment and is subject to applicable taxes. Payment is verified server-side before the assessment unlocks.
- What happens after the report?
- You may request a Wex & Counsel professional review or an implementation discussion from your dashboard. Neither is purchased automatically.
